Project Inspire is an initiative that offers Calgary seniors a safe space to express ageism through art

Project Inspire | The artists within us: creativity at any age

We often think about curiosity and creative thought as qualities that come naturally to children—but a new project is aiming to show that imagination is limitless at any age. United Way of Calgary and Area supports Project Inspire via a special donor investment from the Kanovsky Family Foundation.

Over six weeks in Calgary, groups of older adults meet to participate in Project Inspire. Currently in its fourth offering, the initiative was designed to offer Calgary’s seniors a safe space to express their experiences of ageism through art. And as creative capabilities were redefined, unexpected connections were built.

Watch this touching local tribute to see the joy that comes with people discovering the artists and creators within themselves—at any age.
