Did you know approximately 25% of Calgary youth don’t finish high school on time?
The problem is big. It needs a big solution — a city-wide movement of everyone working together to ensure youth succeed in school. This movement is already underway. Kids who have left school are being phoned and asked: what would it take for you to come back? These phone calls are working. Students are starting to return.
School boards, governments, corporations, human services agencies and philanthropists are all on board, standing shoulder to shoulder. They realize doing nothing isn’t an option. Our future depends on the ability of our youth to succeed in school and beyond.
Tomorrow, Calgary leaders will unveil details of this movement at Bishop McNally High School. We have an ambitious goal to share — and it’s within reach.
Stay tuned for details!
